BRILLIANT CLASSROOM FACILITIES
VIT’s VIT Business school boasts of two Smart Classrooms whose array of hi-tech equipment enables faculty to conduct classes in a way that enable students to make use of every available resource from one point at the click of a button. In this very special learning environment, a touch screen white board is integrated with the projector and a computer. The classrooms also have a DVD/CD player, Video Cassette Recorder/Player, a Document Camera Reader, and audio tracks. All these are integrated using a handy touch panel which enables the user to navigate between various options of display.
The white board with the Webster – a software that integrates all the functions into one – enables the faculty to innovatively impart knowledge. It also acts like an electronic board where everything written on it can be saved as a file for future reference. Each class has a seating capacity of 60 and is fully air-conditioned and sound-proofed. Interconnection between classes is also possible.
More Smart Classrooms are planned in the near future for the benefit of students at VIT, offering them the Cafeteria Approach and the opportunity to learn using innovative teaching techniques. The Smart Classrooms are also ideal for small seminars and workshops where the audio-visual facilities available help make presentations with a greater impact. A centrally-located garden space has been developed, offering an additional area for receptions to participants in conferences and seminars.
HOSTELS 17 hostels are located in VIT campus. There are Thirteen Men’s Hostels, which accommodate 7000 students in single, two and three bedded, four bedded and six bedded rooms. A gym facility is also attached with well maintained swimming pool.
The Four Women’s Hostels have room for 3200 students. Women students have access to gym facilities and a newly built swimming pool inside one of these hostel premises. Individual metering service for those who want air-conditioning facilities is also provided. Optional washing services are provided in well maintained separate washing areas.

DINING FACILITIES
A spacious Visitors’ Lounge has recently been added for the benefit of visiting parents/guardians, supplementing the residential guesthouse facilities available. The spotlessly maintained and spacious vegetarian and non-vegetarian dining halls in the hostels serve wholesome, nutritious food with the help of a unique steam cooking facility. Foreign students can also choose from a limited list of special food items. A Chinese mess is functioning separately.

For those who want a change, a variety of hygienic food facilities are available on campus. A popular recent addition is the 600 sq.m. Food Court, that serves delicious non-vegetarian and vegetarian food at reasonable prices. Fast food outlets are also attached to both the Men’s and Women’s Hostels.
