IIT JEE 2009 Cut off Marks

The IIT JEE 2009 exam was a mixed bag. The pattern of the paper was similar to the previous year with some minor changes. The first paper was more objective and straightforward. The second paper was bit trickier as usual and was more subjective type.
The subject wise cutoff doesn’t matter much as the subject wise cutoff previous year was 5 marks in Mathematics,0 marks in Physics and 3 marks in Chemistry . Individual subject cutoffs is determined on the basis that top 80% candidates qualify in each subject.

The expected cutoff for the last rank in IIT JEE would be somewhere around 180 to 185 as the paper seems to be bit simpler then the previous year especially the chemistry paper.

he worst thing i fear is a retest… i have worked hard for a year and am getting around 250…. now i cant wait for another JEE…does there stand any chance of a retest after that brawl over misprints in the hindi version???

there will be no retest….be assured…..around 250 you will get under 2000 rank….so don’t worry….

My total is around 250-255(that seems to be not bad)….the problem comes with my subjectwise marks…

THe subjectwise cutoffs is what i m scared abt….What do u think…will i be able to crack it…i mean are u confident abt ur predictions of the cutoffs…what were they like in the previous years??

my objective was not to make anyone nervous but just to analyse the paper…..
look at your marks be sure to get a rank somewhere near 3000…..maybe even above….the most important thing is that if you have above 40-45 marks in maths you have no need to worry…..

i will beg getting 180 in iitjee 2010..
however my maths score is really low..wt is d expected individual subject cutoff??

maths score will decide if you’ll compete or not….

at 105, yes you stand a chance….but i can tell you more accurately only after a few days….

i just wanna tell u tht u shld not take yhe admission this year n prepare for iit 4 1 more year. i m preparing 4 iit in kota as well hopefully we will meet.
this year i wasn’t able to crack jee(was in EML,no good anyways)… but i am getting CS in VIT..should i join or should i take drop and prepare for iit..?
