IIT JEE 2010 – WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT FROM IIT JEE 2010 PAPER..??
IIT JEE paper will be set by IIT Madras this year. Lets have a look at what can you expect from this years paper.
IIT Madras has been famous for its Aeronautical and Mechanical Branches. This clearly suggests that the institute has very good Physics faculty.
According to experts the standard of the Physics paper will be good this year. Same can said about the Maths paper.
The Maths paper had very good standard in the year 2006. But since then it has constantly gone down. In 2007 it was OK but in 2008 and 2009 the standard of the paper detoriated a lot.
The Physics paper can be said has been more and more conceptual over the years. The calculational part has been tried to get rid of.
Chemistry on the other hand has maintained the standard since 2006. The paper was tough in 2006. But since then the standard has not gone down as much experts anticipated.
This year the Chemistry paper can be a bit tough if you go by the Probability theory. The odds of the Chemistry paper being tough are very high.
But on the logical side the HRD ministry is constantly trying to ease the pressure off students. Hence the paper will be made more conceptual. And as I anticipate this can be done by making the inorganic part tougher. So read the inorganic part well.
Organic will be easy if you have good concepts.
SUMMARY :-
PHYSICS – Paper will have negligible calculational part. Most of it will be conceptual. Read Fluids well. It is very scoring. And don’t leave Mechanics part at any cost. Capacitance questions can come. Magnetism can be taken lightly. Same can’t be said about Electrostatics. Electrostatics is an integral part of every Physics paper.
MATHS – Give extra focus on Functions. This is one chapter that will get you atleast 20 marks. Calculus is no need to say as important. These two parts can have good standard questions. And never do calculations in a coordinate geometry question. Try to visualize. The questions in the last 4 years have been such which can solved quickly by visualizing and eliminating by analytical skills.
CHEMISTRY – Give extra emphasis on Inorganic Chemistry. Whenever IIT wants to make the paper tougher without letting students feel that it was difficult is by making Inorganic part tougher. And don’t take Organic lightly. Even if the questions will not be difficult, you can score heavily in Organic. I have met students who have qualified IIT only on Organic part.

Wat I’m, gonna write nw may seem odd to many. But the truth is wide and open. 5 to 10 % in every IIT or may be more are people who doesn’t even knw wats a conace or a convex lens juj for an example. Cheating in JEE is wa m talkin abt. There are 10 sets in JEE but still some manage to do so very calmly.
Very less people may agree wid it as it doesn’t happen to all.
I myself an iit-kgpian have come across some fellow students who are in the IITs, and who were juj lucky enugh on the day of JEE. I mean to say the luckiest.
Dis is the case wid many other exams too.
AIEEE, VIT juj to name a few..
I see parents and relatives of those guys and girls being proud and happy for juj nothing.
Truth is never disclosed. Frankly because no one would eva want to.
People enjoying the whole year, cheating in boards, cheating in entrance exams vs those who shed years of their lives for it and neva get it..
In Kota, only 2 out of a batch of around 800 aspirants got selected last year! Juj a case of one insti..
Those unsuccessful ones attended evry single class, topped exams, interacted with teachers.], DPP, Sheets!! but the dream of gettin into the Elites remain juj a dream.
Evry single insti, office, or any organisation has an inside story which you, we, or public neva get to knw.
The above wasn’t intended to anything.
The sole purpose was juj to share..
@sid
this is called life sid…..either you get something or you don’t…..no one will ever ask how you did it….they will just be content that you did it….
and iit is no exception…..if you have luck why not use it…..i’ll say every one who doesn’t use his/her luck is a fool….
in this fast growing world you can’t just sit and hope fruits for your labour….you’ll have to do more labour to ensure you get it….!!..
